As part of the post-launch dissemination of the AUC Report Urban Resilience in Africa: Continental Review, the first webinar introduced urban resilience as a critical development priority, drawing on insights from 50 cities across 40 AU Member States and linking them to key global and continental agendas such as the SDGs, the New Urban Agenda, the Paris Agreement, the Sendai Framework, and Agenda 2063.

Building on this foundation, this second session seeks to move beyond analysis to focus on implementation and impact. It will showcase how African cities are putting urban resilience into practice through governance reforms, innovative financing, and inclusive planning. The session will also highlight concrete examples, address key capacity and coordination gaps, and provide a platform for peer exchange on scalable solutions and strengthened collaboration to advance resilient urban development across the continent.
